WELCOME TO ALDBROUGH PRIMARY SCHOOL
A Note From The Headteacher
On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors, I am delighted to welcome you to Aldbrough Primary School. The village school that makes a real difference through community, care and excellence.
In September 2018 I became Headteacher of our fabulous school and along with the whole school community, I am passionate in driving our school forward and always striving to be the best we can. We do this in three main ways: Community, care and excellence.
Please don’t be deceived by the fact our school looks very small from the outside, as the saying goes, great things come in small packages. Our aim is to provide challenge, to inspire and to encourage aspiration for all of our children.
We are extremely proud of our school and the achievements of our children.
In our latest Ofstead inspection in February 2022, we were rated ‘Good’, and since then our school continues to develop, strengthen and succeed.
Currently staff are working hard to develop and implement a book based curriculum which gives our children the guidance to explore and enquire, whilst developing knowledge and skills. Above all, we aim to make our curriculum an exciting experience for all our pupils, providing the foundations for success in the future, regardless of sex, culture, race, background or disability.
If you would like to find out more about our brilliant village school, please do get in touch. Our contact details can be found on this website. Enjoy!
We hope to see you soon,
Zee Harrison

Here at Aldbrough Primary School, we are nut-free
Our “Nut-Free Policy” means that the following items should not be brought into school: Packs of nuts. Peanut butter or Nutella sandwiches. Fruit and cereal bars that contain nuts. Chocolate bars or sweets that contain nuts.
The children at school love it when someone brings in cakes and/or buns to celebrate their birthday. Until now, we have avoided homemade cakes as we have children with allergies, particularly nut allergies.
As we are a nut-free school we need to avoid any items containing nuts.
As of 27th September 2023, you are allowed to send in cakes and buns. However, you will need to supply us (Aldbrough Primary School), with a list of the ingredients you've used (except nuts), as we have children with other allergies and would need to offer them an alternative.
Also, if you choose to send in shop bought cakes and buns, please include the list of ingredients, whether you've taken them out of their packaging or not.
Paper Copies
If you would like paper copies of any documents on our website, please contact the school office who will be glad to provide you with them. Please note a cost may be incurred.
