WELCOME TO ALDBROUGH PRIMARY SCHOOL
A Note From The Headteacher
Welcome to Aldbrough Primary School — the village school that makes a real difference through community, care and excellence.
Since becoming Headteacher in September 2018, it has been both a privilege and a joy to lead our wonderful school. Working alongside dedicated staff, committed governors and our supportive families, I remain passionate about ensuring that every child receives the very best possible start in life. Our approach is built around three core principles: community, care and excellence — values that shape everything we do.
Although Aldbrough Primary may appear small from the outside, our ambition, opportunities and achievements are anything but. We believe wholeheartedly in nurturing curiosity, challenging thinking and encouraging every pupil to aim high. Our children are inspired to explore, enquire and develop a genuine love of learning that stays with them for life.
We are proud of our most recent Ofsted inspection (February 2022), where we were judged ‘Good’. Since then, the school has continued to evolve, strengthen and shine. Staff are currently embedding a rich, book-based curriculum that broadens horizons, deepens knowledge and equips pupils with the skills they need for an ever-changing world. Our curriculum is designed for every child — inclusive, ambitious and engaging — ensuring success regardless of background, need or starting point.
Aldbrough Primary is a school where every child is known, valued and celebrated. We are incredibly proud of our pupils and the achievements they make each and every day.
If you would like to learn more about our thriving village school, please do get in touch using the contact details on this website. We would be delighted to welcome you.

My Clothing
Together With Anti-Bullying
Here at Aldbrough Primary School, we are nut-free
Our “Nut-Free Policy” means that the following items should not be brought into school: packs of nuts, peanut butter or Nutella sandwiches. Fruit and cereal bars that contain nuts. Chocolate bars or sweets that contain nuts.
The children at school love it when someone brings in cakes and/or buns to celebrate their birthday. Until now, we have avoided homemade cakes because we have children with allergies, particularly nut allergies.
As we are a nut-free school we need to avoid any items containing nuts.
As of 27th September 2023, you are allowed to send in cakes and buns. However, you will need to supply us (Aldbrough Primary School), with a list of the ingredients you've used, as we have children with other allergies and would need to offer them an alternative.
Also, if you choose to send in shop-bought cakes and buns, please include the list of ingredients, whether you've taken them out of their packaging or not.
Paper Copies
If you would like paper copies of any documents on our website, please contact the school office who will be glad to provide you with them. Please note a cost may be incurred.
