At our school, we are committed to ensuring that all children thrive, regardless of background or circumstance. Pupils in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant are known, valued and supported exceptionally well, and consistently achieve strong outcomes both academically and socially.

Our approach is rooted in high expectations, quality first teaching and carefully targeted support. We use Pupil Premium funding strategically to remove barriers to learning, promote wellbeing and ensure that every child has access to the full life of the school.

What is the Pupil Premium Grant?

The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding provided by the government to support children from low-income families. The aim of the grant is to ensure that these pupils have the same opportunities, experiences and chances of success as their peers.

Is my child eligible?

Your child may be entitled to Free School Meals and the Pupil Premium Grant if you are in receipt of any of the following benefits:

• Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
• Income Support
• Universal Credit (with an annual household income of less than £7,400)
• Child Tax Credit (not including Working Tax Credit) with an annual income of less than £16,190
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
• Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

Even if your child does not take a free school meal, claiming eligibility still provides vital funding that directly benefits your child and the wider school community.

How will the funding be used?

Pupil Premium funding may be used to:

• Provide additional adult support for individuals or small groups
• Fund targeted interventions to accelerate progress
• Support emotional wellbeing and attendance
• Contribute towards educational visits, residential trips and enrichment activities
• Support access to music lessons, clubs and wider curriculum opportunities

Our funding decisions are informed by evidence, regular assessment and a deep understanding of each child’s needs.
